Photos: United unveils Boeing 767 Polaris product

Yesterday, United Airlines operated its first flight with a Boeing 767-300ER equipped with the airline’s new Polaris Business Class product, flying between Newark and London Heathrow as UA110.

N644UA was the first aircraft to be equipped with the new configuration, featuring 30 Polaris Business Class seats in a one-one-one configuration, 46 Economy Plus seats and 138 Economy seats, for a total of 214 seats.

14 of United’s 35 Boeing 767-300ERs will be refit with the Polaris Business Class product. These 14 are the ones currently configured with the pre-merger configuration of 183 seats in three classes and currently are based in of Chicago O’Hare and Newark, however, their placement after refurbishment is unknown. Refurbishment plans for the other 21 Boeing 767-300ERs have not been announced.

United’s Boeing 767-300ERs are being outfitted in Hong Kong with the new product; N644UA was ferried back to Newark via Honolulu and San Francisco. N645UA is currently in Hong Kong undergoing outfitting.

United first debuted its Polaris Business Class product on the Boeing 777-300ER in February. The airline will begin introducing it on its Boeing 777-200 fleet starting this fall.
